Description of the project
In real estate, whether it is a residential or commercial property, waste disposal accounts for a significant part of all goods in circulation. Unfortunately, almost all the products that enter the properties are packed and the packaging ends up in waste collection vehicles. Spaces of this type often have many users, from dozens to even hundreds. Therefore, waste management, waste facilities and equipment reserved for waste management must be as clear as possible to use and clearly marked so that it is clear where each waste belongs. The client's residential and commercial property was only at the design stage when the contact began. The challenge was how to combine the waste stream from the residential tower buildings being built on top of the property with the waste stream generated by the movements at the base of the building in such a way that the waste disposal is easy to use and ergonomic for both user communities.
Kapasity prepared a plan for the site and we proposed a waste shaft and collection system including waste shafts, waste presses and waste bins. Shop operators feed their waste directly into presses and residents use waste shafts from a warm space on the property's yard deck with hatches designed for different waste fractions to make feeding as effortless as possible; for example, a safe feeding hatch has been made for cardboard, from which the feeding of flattened cardboard is effortless.
