Description of the project
In hospital environments, waste and laundry management that works seamlessly and requires minimal work is more important than anywhere else. The client had the challenge of a large existing property that had been museised and, due to the nature and scale of the operation, the huge amounts of laundry and waste. Kapasity designed a solution for the site in which shafts would run down the courtyard facade of the property in the balcony line. Laundry and waste shafts could be filled effortlessly by hand from balconies. Below the shafts would be a waste press and laundry container designed for wet waste. Both would be equipped for access control to eliminate the risk of an accident at work. The laundry container orders the collection of laundry when it is full, respectively, the waste press is equipped with a remote connection and also orders the emptying when it is full.
