Description of the project
Niemi Palvelut Oy faced significant challenges in its recycling business due to high material flow and variation in hourly capacity. Separating different materials, such as wood, metal, plastic, cardboard and combustible waste, took a lot of labor time and resources. This process involved a huge amount of staff input, which affected efficiency and throughput of the recycling point. The separation effort not only slowed down operational activities, but also increased costs, creating the need for a more efficient and cost-effective solution.
